Nimon-Toki Lala is a Togolese soukous singer born in 1955 in the northern Togolese city of Kara.
Despite a difficult childhood and adolescence, her love for music led her to become a singer and dancer and in 1978, she caught the attention of funk/soul singer Yta Jourias, who selected her as a dancer for a European tour.
In 1980, Lala moved to France and started singing and dancing including a short stint as a backup singer for Congolese musician Sam Mangwana. Her big break came in 1982 when she won the prestigious Laurèate De Prestigieux Pix RFI Decouverte, which opened up new opportunities for her solo career.
Lala has released eight EPs, including Banina (1984), Ayele (1992), Ca Demenage (1994), Consécration (1995), En Feu (2006),
